RED the Label

Rebecca Ellis Designs is a brand born from memory, meaning, and a deep love for timeless loungewear. RED is based in Melbourne, Australia and has always lived within me.

Years ago, I co-founded a vintage label with my sister, curating pre-loved pieces from local op shops to markets, eventually reaching as far as Los Angeles. It was the most creatively aligned I’d ever felt and it highlighted a lifelong passion for clothing with purpose.

The first RED collection is inspired by a jumper my mum bought when I was one. She eventually passed it down to me, and to this day, it’s still the piece I reach for most. That story became the foundation for The Jacqui - a modern, elevated interpretation of the original, paired naturally with matching shorts. A natural choice for me to my lifelong love of a good matching set.

With the support of a close friend and talented designer, I spent many years refining every detail to bring this vision to life. Each RED piece is designed in Melbourne, Australia and made with great attention to detail, using high quality materials, with a focus on mindful comfort, quality, and longevity.

RED is clothing that feels like home - effortless, timeless and made to last. At its heart, RED is more than loungewear, it’s a feeling. It’s about creating pieces that hold emotional value, designed to become part of your story. I believe the clothes we live in should feel personal, intentional, and quietly powerful.

That’s why every piece we create is approached with care, every detail mastered to ensure each garment honours both form and function. For me, RED is a return to self: an invitation to slow down, savour simplicity and move through the world with quiet confidence.
